Born in 1971, just before the rise of hip-hop culture, Chali 2na has experienced the evolution of the genre up close. His characteristic deep voice brought him worldwide fame as a member of the legendary hip-hop formation Jurassic 5.

This year, Jurassic 5 celebrates its 30th anniversary. The group broke through in 1994 with the single 'Unified Rebelution', with which Chali 2na together with Akil, Soup, Marc 7, DJ Nu-Mark and turntablelist Cut Chemist gave a fresh and alternative voice to the hip-hop scene.

Today, Chali 2na combines his musical heritage with a growing passion for visual arts – a natural expansion of his creative identity.
